Welcome from Anthony Pramualratana, Executive Director, Thailand Business Coalition on AIDS

Welcome to the first and most established business coalition on HIV/AIDS in the world. Established in 1994, we began with a staff of three that has now grown to over 40. We now provide workplace HIV/AIDS and Tuberculosis life-saving program and policy development throughout the nation covering 73 provinces.

We established the world’s first nationally certified program on HIV and TB prevention and non-discrimination called ASO-T. ASO-T is based on the ILO Code of Practice that was formulated into the Thailand National Code of Practice that measures workplace progress in AIDS and TB prevention and non-discrimination. ASO-T is evaluated by TBCA and certified by the Ministry of Labour and Public Health.

As the largest business coalition on AIDS in the world, we sub-contract with non-profit organizations in running the ASO-T program. ASO-T has now certified over 13,000 large and small companies directly impacting over half a million employees.

We are also extremely proud of our international network that I have personally assisted in establishing throughout the past decade and feel very honoured that they have expanded our mission in preventing the spread of AIDS and non-discrimination in the workplace throughout the Asia and Pacific region.
